Build yourself up for the future

Every time wasted doing irrelevant things is a potential risk to one's future.
Time is too short to waste on unnecessary doings. It is foolish to spend a whole day playing video games, It is ludicrous to chat with friends throughout the day without ceasing, It is also of extreme stupidity to lurk the internet all day without any aim of attaining knowledge. Be wise!

Be very careful, then, how you live--not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. – Ephesians 5:15-16.

You always say you will have a great future, you are grandiose about what you do not know and have not seen, and all you do is sleep all daylong and give excuses why you have not done what you ought to have done. Haven’t you heard what the Bible says

A little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to rest and poverty will come on you like a thief and scarcity like an armed man — Proverbs 24:3.

I’ll do it just immediately, there is just not enough time,  Time is not on my side, I’d rather leave it for tomorrow. Yes; These are the words that come out of you in procession until the day is over. Why have you decided to endanger you future?

Time lost can never be recovered. The world today seeks to know and understand; The world today needs solution to its innumerable problems; The rich are seeking ways to improve living by reducing stress.

There is so much to know but no one is willing to teach, So much problems but no one to proffer solution; There's also so much left to improve on and create but no one to bring about that improvement. When I hear young people say theres nothing they can get themselves involved in, I get unhappy.

Always remember that everything you do now, will in a way impact your future either the negative or positive way. Its your choice to make. So what are you doing today? Nothing? Then, go out and find something worth doing; you could learn to sew clothes, learn a new skill or even teach people about a subject well known to you. Don’t waste your time doing nothing. Learn! Learn!! Learn!!!.

Do not focus all your attention on a particular field of knowledge. Broaden your knowledge on diverse fields and area of life but most importantly, be sure you’re making progress.

The future is dependent on what you are becoming. I can tell a peaceful future and a disastrous one by what we are becoming.

The family is a social unit, though least recognized in the society today, has the greatest impact to the society. A community, state, nation or the world at large, is an organization, with families being the component. Have you ever thought of a future without first thinking of a family– your own family? I guess you should. Read books about family, do not be afraid to ask people who already have wonderful and peaceful families; they will gladly teach you what you need to know. Not everything will be taught you in school.
Do not be in a haste to get married without understanding the precept of first: love, marriage and then, having and training children. You can guard you future family by gaining knowledge. That should start now, not when you're already married.

In your lifetime, many opportunities cross by but your ability to cease any one of them is totally in dependence on what you have acquired over time in relation to that opportunity that had come by. Many people have been employed and allowed to work in fields they initially knew nothing about, but as a result of learning, they'd ceased the opportunity of employment in the subject field to which they were employed. Get out of your regular zone, do something else! A friend of mine referred this as a Positive distraction. You just might find something you can really do better. Cease every opportunity that comes your way —this can only be done by learning.

Finally, if your dream of a greater future is void of discipline; you are on the wrong path.

Just as a house is built gradually, so is discipline: Discipline builds you gradually.  As the laborers sweat to get work done: Discipline will make you sweat to get things done. At the end, there's a finished work with abundance in beauty: Discipline, at the end invokes beauty. Mind you, the end product may be beautiful but without a solid foundation. It is destroyed and blown away by the wind.
The foundation of discipline is the most essential part of discipline; the same goes to the building. How can I ensure I have a solid foundation?

For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. —Corinthians 13:11.

Jesus Christ is the only foundation, any other is a waste of time. Paul summarizes this topic in:

Timothy 6:18-19
Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.

Now that you know all these; forget the past, forgive yourself of all wrongdoings and follow the right path. Only then will you make an advancement to a better future.
